About Arthur Greetings, I am Arthur, and I truly enjoy my job as a licensed massage therapist. I have been practicing massage therapy for the past six years. I have been in the medical field for the past 18 years, so I have a great deal of knowledge about the human body and how it works. My specialty is with trigger-point therapy, which I believe I have mastered. I take great pride in the services I provide for my clients because of my reputation for working on impossible-to-release muscular stresses. Releasing the stress which causes carpel tunnel syndrome and other repetitive stress is something I also specialize in. I have been successful in easing many clients who suffer from Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome into a state of remission. I have put this page here to more or less introduce myself. Many people feel more comfortable with a massage therapist if they know a little about them. I feel that I have been lucky in my life and have a very positive outlook on life which I certainly hope benefits my clients. I also enjoy physical activity and feel that this has contributed to my health and my ability to sustain my massage therapy practice. This, of course, benefits you as a client. Dancing was my first love. I belonged to two dance companies, one ballet and one modern dance company. I had a great time dancing and performed in several dance productions. For a short time, I was an aerobics instructor. I have also hiked extensively throughout the country. I've climbed all of the 111 highest peaks in New England and all the 3000 footers in the Catskills of New York. My recent victory was Mt Rainier and Mt St. Helens in Washington state last year. This remains a great passion for me. My newest passion though is for endurance sports. I have completed 15 marathons thus far and four Iron man triathlons, including Malaysia and most recently Switzerland this summer. I will be competing in my fifth Iron man distance race this October in Florida and then it is back to Malaysia for the third time next February. I have taught myself the language of Malay and will certainly have a great time with all my friends I have made there. I plan on competing in long distance triathlons for a very long time and will certainly enjoy all the traveling around the world at the same time. Next summer I will go to Idaho for another Iron man and then perhaps South Korea in the early fall for another one. The friendships I have made among my fellow competitors and the self-confidence I receive from these adventures are a big part of who I am and I hope this benefits you as my client.
So you can see I do work hard, but I also enjoy the challenge of pushing myself to complete a task. I also found that the secret to succeeding is to not push yourself too hard. I train to improve my performance, but not to the point of exhaustion. That way I still have energy and I do not get tired of what I am doing. I have to complete a long run every month, so I choose to run a marathon where you have support along the way. I do not push myself to win, only to do my best. I have found that runners are the most awesome people! They all support each other. Now this is the way to train. I have recently begun the study of violin, which I hope to take to a very high level. Like all of you, I believe that all our life experiences contribute to what we become. I welcome the opportunity to help you make your life as full as possible by eliminating physical impediments.
